紅場－美麗的廣場
Red Square – The Beautiful Square
紅場，首度出現於17世紀文獻記載。源自古俄羅斯文的「紅」同時意味著「美麗」，因此，這座全世界知名的廣場，又可稱為美麗的廣場。紅場緊臨全俄羅斯政治、權力中心克林姆林宮城垣，地位莫斯科河蜿蜒圍繞的小山丘，盤踞交通樞紐，自古以來即為南北貨物的集散地與皇室舉行盛大慶典的中心。1612年民族英雄米寧與波札爾斯基領軍穿越紅場擊退波蘭的占領，然而1812年拿破崙卻攻陷莫斯科，在此舉行閱兵典禮。數百年來紅場歷經歷史的洗禮，她總是靜默地承載世代的人民情感與集體記憶。
廣場上的圓形宣諭臺，扮演傳達沙皇政令的平台，有時也作為處決的人生終點與流放罪犯，漫長遙路的起點。在這裡，喧鬧塵囂，不斷重複上演無數悲歡離合。而如今－VANITAS，當年馬車呼嘯而過，將信仰「古老宗教」(Old Believers)莫洛卓娃公爵夫人載入克林姆林城堡監禁的美麗倩影已不復存在，先知的喃喃自語，早已化為空中塵埃。
The Red Square was first built in the 17th century literature. The word “red” in the Old Russian means “beautiful” (красивый); hence, this world famous square is also called ‘beautiful square’. The Red Square is close to the Kremlin wall, the center of political and authority in Russia. Being the entrenched transport hub located at a small hill around which winds the Moscow River, The Red Square has been the distribution center of the goods from the north and the south; moreover, it has also been the site of grand celebrations of the royal family. In 1612, the national heroes Kozma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky, , led the troop through the Red Square to overthrow the Polish occupation by. In 1812, Napoleon captured Moscow and held a parade at the same place. She has always been silent in the face of the emotion of people over generations and the collective memory.
The round pledging stage acts as the platform for conveying the government decree of Tzar. Sometimes it is used as the ending point of a life for execution, whereas at other times it is the starting point for exiled criminals’ endless journeys. The noisy uproar and the countless joys and sorrows have been put on the stage here repeatedly. Yet nowadays, the beautiful image of Duchess Morozova,an object of worship for the Old Believers, was taken to Kremlin Castle for imprisonment by the VANITAS, the carriages that zoomed past in those years no longer exist. The muttering of the prophet has already turned into dust in the air .

聽見城市的聲音
莫斯科城市雖然幅員廣大，然而歷史古蹟聚集的舊市區，若以紅場為中心，步行即可巡禮完畢。筆者每每造訪，總會留下一天的時間街頭漫遊。莫斯科引人入勝之處，在於城內無數座大大小小、風格獨特的廣場，以及連結廣場之間的林蔭大道。廣場與林蔭大道，如同綿密的織線，從清晨到深夜，連串莫斯科人的生活動脈。
走進錯落穿梭於林蔭大道之間的街道巷弄，如同進入深邃的時光長廊：紅場四周浮現的是托爾斯泰《戰爭與和平》中驚心動魄的莫斯科大火；轉入Piridonovka彷彿看到小說《大師與瑪格莉特》女主角瑪格莉特自新歌德式造型的莫洛卓娃別墅(Mansion Zinaida Morozova)飛出。步行至Sadovaya-Spasskaya，來到白銀時代人文薈萃的藝文中心－鐵道大王馬蒙托夫豪宅，這裡曾經聚集時下一流藝術家，在歡樂聲響的背景下，此起彼落熱絡地交談著。在俄羅斯人文地圖占有重要地位的Povarskaya，自18世紀以來即為貴族名流、文人雅士聚集地。如此特殊的歷史背景，孕育了詩人傑爾查文、萊蒙托夫、布寧、貝拉‧阿赫瑪杜琳娜、作曲家伊波里托夫-伊凡諾夫、米亞斯科夫斯基……。
M.Nikitskaya這條美麗的街道，曾以各式風格的別莊豪宅聞名，其中富商魯畢史斯基(Mansion S.P. Ryabushinsky)別墅，以精緻典雅的浪漫氣息，成為莫斯科新藝術的代表佳作。漫步在莫斯科曲折蜿蜒的巷弄小徑，就像穿梭在精采絕倫的人文場域中，伴隨著文學場景、名人故居，見證了莫斯科發展的足跡。
The Sound of the City
Moscow is an big city, but if we take, Red Square to be the center, the old city, full of historical monuments, could be toured on foot. I always spend an entire day walking around the streets every time I visit the city. The numerous unique style squares and the boulevard connecting between them are the main attractions in Moscow. The squares and boulevards are like the tight-knit woven wires that connects the living artery of people in Moscow from early morning to late at night.
Shuttling in between the scattered avenues is like entering a deep time corridor: Red Square is surrounded by the emerging of the thrilling Moscow fire in "War and Peace" by Tolstoy; shifting to Piridonovka, one might as if see Margareta, the main actress in the novel “the Master and Margareta”, flying out of the Mansion Zinaida Morozova with an exterior of the new gothic style. Walking to Sadovaya-Spasskaya would bring one to the Silver Age human and cultural arts center – the mansion of Mamontov, the railway king. Once, the top artists often gathered at this place carrying on lively conversation in a happy atmosphere. Since the 18th century, Povarskaya,plays an important role in the cultural map of Russia, has been the gathering place for the aristocratic elite and literati. Such special historical background gives birth to the poets - Derzhavin, Lermontov, Bunin, and Bella Akhmadulina - and composers - Ippolitov-Ivanov, and Myaskovsky, etc.
The beautiful street, M.Nikitskaya, was once famous for the various style of mansions. Within which Mansion S.P. Ryabushinsky, owned by the wealthy businessman Ryabushinsky, has become the representative of the masterpiece in Moscow Art Nouveau by its elegant and romantic atmosphere.
Strolling the winding, twists and turns alleys in Moscow is like shuttling in the highly admired field of humanities. Along with the literary scene and the former residences of celebrities, one would witness the development footprint of Moscow.
